The supermini market appears to be on its way to a fairly significant boom. We just looked at the new Mazda2, now let’s check out something a bit more stylish, the all-new 2015 Smart ForTwo & ForFour models.

The new Smarts keep the profile of their predecessors, but they come with a thorough facelift that gives them a more grown up look, at least by Smart standards. Bonnet, grille, headlights, and wings, they are all new. As per tradition, the tridion safety cell still comes in a contrasting color.

The interior design is fairly basic but very colorful. You get the basic controls arranged in a sensible way, but the space is dominated by a large infotainment screen standing. As usual there are endless personalization possibilities to alter the looks of the interior, and countless special editions that are sure to follow.

In terms of equipment, the standard kit includes keyless entry, cruise control, an external temperature gauge and an LCD displays. Spending more on higher grades can buy you some pretty cool stuff such as multifunction steering wheel, heated seats and a JBL sound system.

Engine-wise, the new Smart ForTwo & ForFour will launch with two new three-cylinder engines including a 71 PS 1.0 liter unit and a 90 PS 0.9-liter turbo.
