In terms of performance and dynamics, the 140,000 Euros BMW i8 rivals the Porsche 911. It is powered by an ultra-sophisticated and neatly packages hybrid system consisting of a 1.5 liter twin-turbo three-cylinder engine and an electric motor that can either help the petrol unit or propel the car itself.
The all-wheel-drive drivetrain utilizes a combined output of 362 hp and over 500 Nm of torque to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. Meanwhile, because of the unique arrangement, average fuel consumption figure stands at 2.1 litres per 100 kilometres (approx. 135 mpg).
