BMW’s range of special edition models in the Japanese market has a new member. It is based on the X1 compact crossover, and it is called the Exclusive Sport Edition. That’s a lofty name for a car like the X1, especially as the extras it is blessed with are not that special.
BMW X1 Exclusive Sport is available in only two metallic colors, Alpine White and Black Sapphire, and comes with an M sport styling kit consisting of sport bumpers and M wheels. These are nice touches, but they fail to compensate for the fact that the X1 has a really ugly face.
Inside the cabin, the Japanese customers of BMW X1 Exclusive Sport will enjoy niceties such as leather seats in color Nevada beige, M Sport steering wheel, and GPs navigation integrated into the iDrive system featuring an 8.8 inch display.
The only engine available for this model is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged unit with 185 horsepower. An 8-speed automatic transmission is standard, as is an all-wheel-drive system.
