Unless you live under a rock, you know who Mark Zuckerberg is – the man whose billion dollar idea is one of the most remarkable phenomena of the 21st century. The reason we brought him up is because Mr. Zuckerberg has reportedly ordered a Pagani Huayra.
Now, that’s kind of a big deal, because for one thing almost all Pagani owners are high-profile figures. If Zuckerberg joins them that will take things up a notch and enhance the car maker’s status. Pagani is now officially represented in the American market, where more than 40 percent of production Huayras will end up, and they want to establish from the get go what kind of customers they are after.
This is also interesting because Mark Zuckerberg is sort of famous for driving rubbish cars. Well, not rubbish per se, but ordinary. Last year Volkswagen sent Zuckerberg a thank you letter because he is a big Golf GTi fan. He also has an Acura and a Honda Fit. The guy needs to treat himself to something a little less drab.
Pagani Huayra is a beast of a car, powered by a 700 horsepower AMG V12 engine, capable of delivering blistering performance. Zero to 60 takes around 3 seconds in this car, and the top speed is well beyond the 200 mark. But the main reason people spend nearly $2 million on this whip is because of the way it looks, and how it’s built. It’s an art work.
