Kahn Design’s insistence on making extremely cool cars has landed them a big opportunity to go global thanks to a new Tom Cruise movie called The Edge of Tomorrow. In this film, Cruise drives a Kahn Design Jeep Wrangler and even rolls under it, for some reason, while it’s moving.
The rolling scene has apparently caused some butt-clinching moments when it went wrong the first time they tried it. But Cruise has not got where he is now by giving up easily. In the second attempt he pulled it off perfectly and came out the other side of the car unscathed.
The Kahn Design Jeep Wrangler they’ve picked for the film is a unique Sahara 2.8 Diesel CJ300 LE, finished in volcanic satin black. The car features Kahn wheels, brake callipers, cross hair headlamps, privacy glass, four slot Chelsea Truck Company front grille, Kahn branding and smoked side repeaters.
The Edge of Tomorrow does not have a release date yet and we don’t know about the plot either. But since it has Tom Cruise in it and some heavy action scenes, we reckon it’s another Jack Reacher sort of nonsense in which Tom’s character single-handedly prevents some unspeakable atrocity from happening while dodging a rainstorm of bullets.
