When Mansory first revealed their Mercedes SLS Cormeum, a lot of people, us included, mocked their effort as a triumph of carbon fiber over common sense. Now looking at these pictures of the Cormeum, we have to say we are starting to see some art in this car that had matured with time. It actually looks kinda good now!
On some levels, Mansory SLS Cormeum rivals Pagani products. It features the same top-notch carbon fiber construction with evenly matched carbon weaves, which is very hard to make. And those complicated bits on the front and rear, though they may not look very pretty, are all chiseled and sculpted like a piece of art.
Mansory SLS Cormeum is considerably wider than a normal SLS, but thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber it is nearly a 100 kg lighter. That, combined with an engine upgrade kit which can deliver anything between 660 to 730 horsepower, will turn this car into a missile. No wonder then why they fitted that massive rear wing at the back. It is there to stop the Cormeum from taking off.
Whether you like Mansory SLS Cormeum or not, there is no denying it is an impressive car. And to think Mansory started out making parts for other companies…
