Mercedes-Benz, as you may know, recently unveiled a face-lifted version of the CLS-Class for 2015. Changes in the new model are not very significant though, and if you own a current-gen CLS, you shouldn’t get rid of it just yet. What you should do is have it professionally modified.
This GMP Performance-modified Mercedes CLS63 AMG gives you some ideas on how to improve your car. The CLS has a pretty much flawless design, so instead of messing around with body kits, GMP decided all this car needs is nicer wheels, and some blacked-out elements.
So they painted the badges, grill pieces, and emblems in sating black, smoked the lights, and installed a set of 20-inch ADV05.1 one-piece forged wheels, naturally in black. The wheels are wrapped with 245x30x20 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in the front and 295x25x20 in the back.
The most important part of this tuning package is the mechanical upgrades. Here GMP has used RENNtech ECU upgrade and downpipes to increase the output from 556 HP / 550 lb-ft torque to 669 HP / 734 lb-ft, and KW suspension to keep the car in check.
GMP Performance Mercedes CLS 63 is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and it does the quarter mile in 10.9 seconds.
