BMW specialist G-Power has come up with a new performance package for M GmbH’s 4.4 liter bi-turbo V8 which results in a remarkable gain of 150 hp and 210 Nm of torque. The G-Power Bi-Tronik 5 kit is fitted here to an M6 Gran Coupe, but it can be ordered for other M cars as well.
With his kit installed, G-Power BMW M6 Gran Coupe now goes as good as it looks. But that the standard 560-hp version is a slouch, but we’re talking about a four-door sedan with 740 hp (544 kW) and 975 Nm of torque here. That is a serious amount of power.
The modifications on G-Power BMW M6 Gran Coupe begin with patching the main micro-processor inside the car’s ECU. They upload a new software in there similar to the one used for their supercharger kits, seeing as G-Power supercharger systems are closely related to the turbochargers used by BMW.
Next stage is the exhaust system upgrade, and it is taken care of with a bespoke G-Power Titanium system complete with downpipes and 100mm endpipes which can be ordered in carbon or titanium. Total weight of this system is 12kg.
G-Power decided not to touch the M6 Gran Coupe’s awesome looks, but they do offer 21 inch G-POWER HURRICANE RR forged wheels, coilover suspension and ceramic brake package. You can also order an interior treatment with leather, Alcantara and carbon elements, as well as a powerful audio system and full Apple integration including TV and iPads.
