Japanese tuner Wald International released the first images of their Black Bison styling kit for Maserati Ghibli. The Italian mid-size sports sedan agrees with Wald has done to it. Amazingly though, it looks more luxurious than sporty, which is kind of the opposite of what Wald kits usually result in.

Wald Maserati Ghibli gets a new front bumper designed to match the car’s prominent front grille while maintaining Black Bison’s traditional cues, such as unique air intakes and vertical LED lights. The apron on the car in these preview pictures appears to be unpainted, but even so, it looks good.

There isn’t much to report on the sides apart from a pair of sporty sides skirts. But there is a lot going on at the back, where the first thing you notice is Wald’s exclusive diffuser accompanied by those signature tailpipes. The Ghibli has kind of a big bottom – the cute kind, like that of Monica Bellucci – and the new boot lid spoiler accentuate it nicely.

Wald Maserati Ghibli wouldn’t look complete on stock wheels. Luckily, the tuner offers a wide variety of fancy rims for you to choose from.
