Mitsubishi is reluctant to let the Shogun go, or at least design a new version to replace the old one. They have good reason for this. The car is still relatively popular and has acquired quite a fan base for itself over the years. For 2015 the Shogun is getting a mild update including a new face.
Well, we say new face, but really it’s just a new integrated grille and LED daytime running lights. The rest of the car is as it was before, which is probably good news for Shogun fans. All the features they love – short front overhang, upright windscreen, strong high flanks, flared wheel-arches and rear-mounted spare wheel – are still there.
2015 Mitsubishi Shogun also benefits from upgraded specification, now including new audio unit on SG2 model, Piano black gearshift and audio surround, Centre air vents with silver decoration, Improved sound deadening on auto derivatives, Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and USB port in the glove box.
Top of the line SG3 and SG4 models also get wood trim will only be fitted to Granite Brown vehicles, black leather interior will have piano black gearshift and audio surround, and beige leather interior will have wood gearshift and audio surround.
Prices for the new Mitsubishi Shogun start from £29,369 for the SWB 3.2 DI-D Warrior model and go up to £36,799 for the LWB 3.2 DI-D SG4 Auto.
