Jaguar has made a lot of beautiful cars in recent years, but the XJ is not one of them. In fact, this big luxury saloon sticks out in their portfolio like a sore thumb. That’s a shame, because the XJ is a fabulous car and has one of the best drives in this segment.

The owner of this Jaguar XJL you see here obviously appreciates all the good things about the car because, well, he’s bought it, right? But we are pretty sure he doesn’t like the looks of it, because he’s evidently said screw it, let’s go nuts with it.

He sent the car to Forgiato where they fitted it with a set of Maschili wheels and a custom Forgiato grille. The unique design of these wheels is actually very interesting and they would work brilliantly on, say, a custom Chrysler 300 or something. On this Jag, though, they look rather ridiculous. And then there’s that grille… oh dear!

So it’s not very pretty, but Forgiato’s treatment has given this Jaguar XJL a unique look. The car certainly stands out in a crowd, albeit for all the wrong reasons. Still, it doesn’t look worse than the stock XJ, that’s for sure.
