Famous Japanese BMW tuner 3D Design has released a styling kit for the i3 electric car in a joint project with Studie Thailand. Interestingly though, this flashy orange 3D Design BMW i3 is not the most extreme version of the car yet. That title still belongs to the super weird Eve Ryn i3.

Apart from the orange paint job garnished with black graphics that resembles the skin of a vicious animal, 3D Design BMW i3 also gets a nice set of wheels and a very neat body kit. At the front you notice the chin spoiler combined with new grille inserts, flanked on the side by new side skirts, and complemented with a new and larger roof spoiler at the back.

The wheels on this i3 are MAK models in gloss black, and although they seem a bit oversized for this car, they look really cool. 3D does not give this baby BMW any performance upgrade, but they do offer an Active Sound Design system which at the touch of a button can emit V8, V10 and V12 engine noises!

Other highlights of 3D Design BMW i3 include a custom interior featuring Recaro LX-F seats with the upholstery in the same orange and black theme as the exterior and orange dashboard. If you want something a bit more… sober, you can check out SR Auto’s take on the i3.
