Audi A9 Teaser Emerges Ahead of L.A. Debut

A9 teaser at Audi A9 Teaser Emerges Ahead of L.A. Debut

Audi has just dropped a long and fairly informative teaser video for the upcoming A9 Concept, set to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month. The A9 is an important car since it is supposed to set the design tone for future production models.

Audi A9 concept is the first car to be designed under the new head of styling, Marc Lichte. Based on what the company has said and what we gather from the teasers, Audi themselves are kind of bored with all their cars looking virtually the same and are going to shake things up a bit with the new concept.

Audi A9 features a dramatic new face with aggressively designed headlights and an all-new front grille. The bumpers too are shaped differently than what we are used to from Audi, and the whole thing has a more alive and forward-looking feel about it.

The A9 itself may or may not get into production. But to even see the influence it will have on future production Audis we are going to have to wait until at least 2017. Until then most Audis will look something like the new TT.
