The media is getting all worked up about the launch of a hard-core version of the Ferrari LaFerrari which will come to take on McLaren’s P1 GTR. The LaFerrari XX is a track focused version of the hyper car, reportedly slated for launch next year.

Before that though, we will be getting our first look at the LaFerrari XX during a special event in December at the Ferrari Finali Mondiali in Abu Dhabi. Based on what we know about the car so far, the XX will lighter and more powerful than the standard LaFerrari, and it boasts extreme aerodynamic features.

These new renderings try to give you an idea what those extreme features may end changing the look of the Italian hyper car. They obviously look awesome, but the main reason they are there is to generate more downforce, which is a commodity you desperately need when you’ve got 1,050 horsepower to play with.

Needless to say, LaFerrari XX will be produced in extremely limited numbers and cost eye-wateringly high. It is going to be quite a battle though, this thing versus the P1 GTR!
