A lot of people agree that mirror finish chrome wraps are ghastly and ostentatious. But opinions vary on colored chrome wraps. They are just as shiny as a mirror finish, but because of the color they often end up looking much nicer. They are still vulgar, but they are often a treat for the eyes.

Take this Turquoise Chrome Ferrari 458 by Impressive Wrap. We wouldn’t want to be seen driving it, but we do enjoy looking at it because, well, it is beautiful. The tuner has tastefully wrapped the Ferrari in a two-tone design with blacked-out roof and powder coated gloss black wheels, and shiny turquoise everywhere else. Lovely!

That’s all there is to say about the wrap really, so let’s get to know the car a bit better. Ferrari 458 Italia is almost certainly the last of Ferrari GT cars to get a naturally-aspirated V8 engine. We know for a fact that there is a turbocharged unit already in the works, based on the turbo engine in the new California, to replace the 4.5 liter V8 in this car next year.

Packing 562 horsepower, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and a five-way traction control, Ferrari 458 Italia is one of the best driver’s cars in the world right now. We have to wait and see if the turbo version will be a worthy successor or not.
