Bulgarian specialist Vilner is one of only a handful of tuners confident and capable enough to work on an iconic classic like the Jaguar XJ220 supercar. Based on a request by the car’s owner, Vilner has come up with a nice and elegant refinement program for the Xj’s cabin.
The dominant theme inside the cockpit of this Jaguar XJ220 is a chocolaty shade of brown, chosen deliberately to match the exclusive exterior color. As always, every visible surface, and some of the hidden ones, are wrapped perfectly in a mix of leather and Alcantara with contrast stitching. The seats, door panels, sills, dashboard, and center console all get a unique design as well.
What we like most about this Jaguar XJ220 project is how modern the interior treatment makes the interior. The standard cabin has a 30 year old design and it shows in the shape of the knobs and dials and air vents. What Vilner has done to it lifts the whole thing up and irons out some of the wrinkles, giving it a more contemporary look.
Now, some people may scoff at this car because they believe the value of a classic car like the XJ220 depends on its originality. But the owner of this car evidently uses it regularly and so wanted a nicer place where he spends a lot of time. What’s wrong with that?
