The interior specialists at Carlex Design revealed the first official shots of their latest project, the Nissan GTR Red Katana. The goal of this project was to make the rather boring cabin of the GTR look as exciting as the car’s performance. And they seem to have pulled it off rather nicely.
Carlex’ Nissan GTR Red Katana gets a complete and total makeover with every surface that you see, and even some that you don’t, covered in some sort of exotic material. Leather and Alcantara are the dominant features here, garnished with a healthy dose of carbon fiber and red stitching.
You will find a lovely combination of leather and Alcantara adorning the dashboard, consoles, seats, door cards, and the roof. Now, each part has its own little styling features. The seats, for example, get a unique stitching pattern and red piping, while the steering wheel adds some carbon to the mix. Red accenting and highlights are found throughout the cabin and play a major part in giving the whole thing an exciting racy feel.
The Nissan GTR Red Katana by Carlex Design is a heavily modified example under the bonnet as well. Apparently the car packs a 700 horsepower engine. That makes it one of the most unique GTRs in the world.
