Nissan cunningly unveiled the all-new Maxima during their Super Bowl commercial, hoping for the eagle-eyed viewers to notice it. They didn’t, but car geeks did. In fact they didn’t see anything else. Now they decided to do away with fun and games and just released the first proper pictures of the 2016 Nissan Maxima.
The new luxury saloon is designed and equipped to be a thorn in the new Hyundai Genesis’ side. But Nissan realized in order to give the Maxi an edge over the mighty Korean rival they need to give it something that car does not possess. And they found that in sportiness.

Not that the 2016 Nissan Maxima is particularly sporty, but they have used some nice styling details to spice up its looks, and the official bumf refers to the it as “4-Door Sports Car,” which will fool a few people, surely. Some of this unique design features we’re talking about include the V-motion front end and the “floating” roof, not usually seen in cars of this segment.
Official details are not to be announced until the car is on stage at the next New York Auto Show, but the word is the 2016 Nissan Maxima will be getting a 260 horsepower V6, which is actually weaker than the one released back in 2000!
