The new generation Kia Optima will show its face to the public for the first time at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland next month in form of a D-segment concept. The Korean car maker has just dropped a surprisingly revealing teaser photo highlighting some of the design features of the new model.
Naturally, the new Kia Optima features the car maker’s corporate look consisting of a ‘tiger-nose’ grille, sweeping lines, and distinctive headlights that are quite good-looking, but make a somewhat controversial appearance when teamed with that unique grille.
The existing Kia Optima is a handsome car and very hard to fault in terms of its proportions and the beauty of individual elements. Now, we need to first the new Optima in its full glory before we can properly judge it, but based on what we can see the car looks kind of like old Renault sedans at the front.
Mechanically, Kia will continue to offer the Optima with efficient four-cylinder engines as well as a plug-in hybrid powertrain in select markets. One would expect the new generation to be chockfull of comfort, convenience, connectivity and safety features.
