Geneva 2015: Nissan Sway Concept

Nissan Sway 0 600x388 at Geneva 2015: Nissan Sway Concept

The hatchback segment is still strong and is showing no sign of slowing down. Nissan Sway concept is the Japanese car maker’s attempt to set new standards in this class with unusual looks and features; the same thing they did to the crossover segment with the Juke and the Qashqai.

Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, Nissan Sway features a distinctive face that is instantly recognizable as a Nissan. That pointy noise with the V-shaped grille, or V-motion as they call it,  and all that chrome work, that’s part of the firm’s corporate look featured on all their products in one form or another.

Other highlights of the design we can mention include signature boomerang tail-lights, LED lamps, twin trapezoidal exhaust pipes, complex rear door design, thing C-Pillar, unique “bluish dawn grey” color, and those fantastic wheels. Sadly most of these amazing features won’t make into the production version which will surely arrive in a few years.

Paul Willcox, Chairman Nissan Europe, said: “Nissan is on the move. The brand stands for bold, innovative thinking in the European automotive market – indeed around the globe – and our growth in Europe is led by outstanding new products, which are defined by outstanding design. The Sway underlines how important design is for Nissan in building our brand and driving our growth.”
