With the stuff we saw at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in mind, it now takes a lot to impress us with power and speed. That show was an orgy of horsepower, with many 1,000+ PS cars on display. That is why we are struggling to see what makes this G-Power BMW M5 the ultimate in its class. I mean it ‘only’ has 740 hp!

We kid, of course. 740 horsepower is indeed a huge amount of power in any car, especially an unassuming four-door family sedan. Thanks to the  G-POWER Bi-Tronik 5 V4 power upgrade kit installed on the car’s 4.4 liter bi-turbo V8, G-Power BMW M5 now has 740 hp/(544 kW) and 975 Nm of torque, which is a huge gain over the standard 560 hp/(412 kW) and 680 Nm.

The main features of this engine treatment include a lightweight exhaust system made from Titanium featuring racing catalysts and some bespoke microchips implanted into the car’s brain. The electronics also have the power of bypassing the onboard top speed limiter, thus enabling you to go past 350 km/h.

As always, G-Power BMW M5 maintains its wolf in sheep’s clothing signature dish. But there are telltale signs of its immense inner power if you look under the bonnet, where you find a carbon fiber engine cover, or at the back, where 4×100 tail pipes make a sound akin to that of a .50 Cal machine gun.

The car also features a set of  21-inch G-POWER HURRICANE RR forged wheels wrapped with high performance Michelin rubber in sizes 255/30 front and 295/25 rear.
