The mildly updated 2016 Range Rover Evoque is being readied to hit the showrooms in September, sporting a base price tag of £30,200. One might struggle to see what’s new about this model by looking at it, but make no mistake, underneath, the new Evoque has a more substance than before.

For starters, the 2016 Range Rover Evoque comes with the new EU6-compliant four-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine which delivers up to 68 mpg. That is only for the 2WD model though, and since nobody will buy a 2WD Range Rover, it doesn’t really count. But don’t despair, because other models in the range also deliver better efficiency, lower running costs and an enhanced ownership experience. In fact, there are six variants to choose from, including SE, SE Tech, HSE Dynamic, HSE Dynamic Lux and Autobiography.

Visually, the new 2016 Range Rover Evoque features a new front bumper, two new grille designs, all-LED headlamps (optional), tailgate spoiler and three new alloy wheel designs. But it still doesn’t look that different than before. Same goes for the interior where you get new seats, new infotainment system, enhanced InControl touch system, and an available  Gesture Control feature.

As for the new high techie features, the 2016 Evoque comes with Lane Departure Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), heated eight way adjustable front seats, powerfold door mirrors, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and automatic climate control.
