So it is not just in the movies where Daniel Craig drives British cars. In real life too, the actor most famous for being the current James Bond has an affinity for sports car built no far from where he lives. He just popped in briefly to Norfolk to pick up a brand-new Lotus Evora 400 at the factory.

Looking as dashing in real life as he does on the silver screen, Craig is one of, if not the, first people to take delivery of the Lotus Evora 400, which was introduced barely a month ago at the Geneva Motor Show. If you are a mere civilian, chances are you have to wait a few more months to get yours.

Lotus needed this kind of publicity for the Evora 400 – even if it’d just an April Fools joke! –  because, to be brutally honest, it is not a very appealing proposition. As an updated version of the existing Evora, the 400 comes with slightly revised front and rear-end design, improved refinement, and an upgraded supercharged V6 engine developing 400 horsepower, hence the name.

One would imagine the real Mr Craig would purchase a Lotus Evora 400 out of his love for the badge. It is unlikely that he is impressed by the performance of this machine, seeing as on his daily job as 007 he drives the one-off Aston Martin DB10.
