Another day, and another hugely powerful and excessively cool-looking G-Wagen by Brabus. This time the offering is a matte black Brabus G63 700 sporting a Widestar body kit and a set of Monoblock wheels in matching color. This is the kind of toys big boys buy to console themselves when they are sad!
We call this Brabus G63 700 Widestar, or indeed any other high-powered SUV, a toy because we can’t think of any logical reason for having 700 horsepower in a car with massive ground clearance and pre-historic ladder chassis. No reason other than fun and games, that is.
Brabus G63 700 comes with a familiar looking body kit consisting of custom front and rear bumpers, a Brabus grille, vented engine hood, smoked headlights, Widestar extended fenders front and rear, running boards, and a roof spoiler. Inside, this particular model boasts two-tone black and white nappa leather and sport pedals.
Engine-wise, the G63 700 is powered by a heavily tricked-out version of the AMG 5.5 liter bi-turbo V8 featuring gold heat reflectors, developing 700 PS. It is not the most powerful version Brabus can offer you. That’d be the 850 version.
