Daimler released the pricing details for the 2015 modelyear of the G-Class family which includes the new Mercedes G500 4×4² or the “Extreme-G”. According to this information the 4×4, which is not even an AMG model, costs a whopping 226,100 Euros. In comparison, a normal G63 AMG is “only” 143,216 Euros.
Then again, theMercedes G500 4×4² is a limited edition, sort of bespoke version of the G-Wagen like the G63 6×6. This is not a car you buy because you need an extra-tall G-Class. You buy this thing because the 8-year-old in you keeps saying ‘I want it!’.
The biggest highlights of theMercedes G500 4×4² include its high-riding portal axles which come directly from the 6×6 model. They are complemented with a set of 22-inch 325/55 R 22-sized wheels and the adjustable damping with Sport mode. Powering this off-road beast is a 4.0-litre biturbo engine with an output of 310 kW (422 hp) and maximum torque of 610 newton metres.
The G500 4×4² will hit the showrooms in December 2015.
