So after months of uncertainty about what will become of the former Top Gear trio, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, they announced on Twitter today that they now have a new employer. The boys have signed with Amazon Prime Video for a new car show, to be produced at former TG boss Andy Wilman.

Nothing is as yet known about the format of the show and its ingredients, but chances are Clarkson, Hammond and May will pick up where left off at Top Gear. These guys have enough feather in their caps for us not to worry about the quality of the new show. In fact, it could end up being much better than Top Gear since online media is a lot less, well, conservative than an organization like the BBC. Jeremy was quoted likening leaving the BBC and joining Amazon to climbing “out of a bi-plane and into a spaceship.”

Clarkson, Hammond and May’s new car show has no name yet, but the announcement alone is enough to cause the new Top Gear and its head host Chris Evans sleepless nights from now on. Well, unless it turns out Amazon is only releasing the show in select regions, or if they somehow limit its availability. But hey, the boys are back and it’s time to celebrate!
