G-Power is not the kind of tuner that can take some time off and not do anything. They are constantly working on new packages for new model. The latest Bimmer to come out of their workshops is the G-Power BMW X6M F86 and it’s been given a fairly thorough performance upgrade up to 650 horsepower.
Beginning the project with the 4.4 liter biturbo V8 engine, G-Power engines first yanked out the factory ECU and squeezed one of their own Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power modules between the unit and engine. The plug and play device remains inactive under partial load conditions, only triggering when full throttle is engaged whereupon it alters the engine’s fueling, ignition and boost parameters to produce an additional 75 hp and 80 Nm of torque.
The power module not only increases the power output to 650 PS, it also eliminates the top speed limited and makes the engine ready to accept further modifications such as free-flow air filters and high-grade sports catalysts. Just about the only other mod G-Power BMW X6M gets besides the performance boost is a set of ultra-light HURRICANE RR forged alloy wheels in size 11×23-inch shod with 315/25ZR23 Michelin high-performance tires. They are available in a number of colors, including “Jet Black”, “Gun Metal Grey” and “Stardust Silver”.
