Mercedes S Class Cabriolet preview 600x379 at IAA Preview: Mercedes S Class Cabriolet

As is the case with all new Mercedes-Benz models, the company starts a teasing campaign a few weeks before that model makes it official debut. This time it’s the long-awaited Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet and the venue is IAA Frankfurt Motor Show.

The open-top version of the S-Class Coupe will be the fourth and last member of the W222 generation’s extended family which includes the Sedan, Coupe and Maybach. Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet will be a truly unique offering as well, as it is a proper luxurious four-seater convertible car.

Details are yet to be revealed, but a single look at the preview picture they have released makes it clear that Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet boasts a folding soft top rather than a hard top. We are keen to see how the car looks when the hood is up, and what sort of technologies Mercedes has employed to maintain the refinement level one expects from an S-Class.

As mentioned, the 2017 Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet will makes it official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in about a month. We will be getting more and more details as we get closer to reveal date, so stay tuned.
