It might have gone out of production, but BMW 1M Coupe is not forgotten. In fact, tuner still keep coming up with upgrade packages for it because the owners are still totally in love with this naughty little sports car. This is OK-Chiptuning BMW 1M Coupe and it’s been given a thorough upgrade.
The German tuner has started with the straight-six turbo engine and in the first stage equipped it with a remapped ECU. But that didn’t seem like quite enough. So they also installed Evo 2 Performance intercooler and custom downpipes from Wagner Tuning, plus an Eisenmann race exhaust system and a Sachs performance clutch.
The net result of all these mods is that OK-Chiptuning BMW 1M Coupe now develops 450 horsepower instead of the standard 340, and also delivers 714 Nm of torque instead of the original 500. The tuner has not revealed what sort of effect the extra oomph will have on the performance of the car. But rest assured it’s going to be very, very positive.
Other modifications OK-Chiptuning BMW 1M Coupe is blessed with include a set of 20-inch Schmidt CC-Line wheels with high-performance tires, monotube coil overs by H&R, carbon rear diffuser, mirror caps, and radiator grilles, and M Performance steering wheel and gear knob inside the cabin.
