A few days ago Nissan dropped a single teaser photo announcing the launch of a new crossover concept at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. It is now time for us to get our second fix, which is stronger, shows more of the car and also reveals its name: Nissan Gripz Concept.
Even though Nissan Gripz Concept is said to crossover, the car is apparently inspired by the 240Z sports car of the 70s. Not the road-going sports coupe, mind you, but rather the desert dwelling racing version. Now it makes more sense. The Gripz is, after all, a sport utility vehicle.
Nissan says the Gripz’s design is the very height of creative innovation and that it offers a new driving sensation. So one would imagine the car is a crossover with the characteristics of a coupe – or as we mentioned before while covering the first teaser, a cross between something like a Juke and the 370Z. Sounds like quite a recipe. Can’t wait to see what’s it all about.
The world premiere for Nissan Gripz Concept will take place at the Nissan stand on September 15, 2015.
