GLE 63 Coupe v X6M 600x307 at Mercedes GLE 63 Coupe Takes on BMW X6M

Courtesy of Motor Trend,  we finally get to see a head to head battle between the new Mercedes GLE 63 Coupe, the S-model – and the new version of the car it was developed to compete with, the BMW X6M. The newcomer has a humungous task ahead of it to challenge the authority of the oldtimer here. But you never know. It might be able to use the Bimmer’s shortcomings to beat it.

At the end of the day though, BMW lovers are going to buy the X6M regardless how good or bad it might be, while Mercedes GLE 63 Coupe will be used predominantly by those who just want to have the latest trendy car in this segment. Meanwhile intelligent people will sit back and watch those groups pondering the pointlessness of both these cars.

And in case you need some facts and figures, BMW X6M boasts a 4.4 liter bi-turbo V8 engine with 575 horsepower and a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) of 4.2 seconds. Mercedes GLE 63 Coupe S model meanwhile packs an AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine with 585 horsepower in the S version, and the same 0-100 time of 4.2 seconds.
