Kia Motors released the first official renderings of the new generation Cadenza, announcing the launch of the refreshed luxury sedan next year. The 2017 Kia Cadenza slots between the Optima and the K900 both size-wise and also in terms of luxury and technology features.

As you would expect from a new Korean model, 2017 Kia Cadenza features a thoroughly updated design that bares little resemblance to the car it replaces. The new styling elements conform with the company’s ongoing design language, the main features of which include bold, aggressive headlights with distinctive LED lights in the bumper, a large tiger nose grille, muscular fenders, skirts, and pillars, and a sculpted rear-end that gives the whole thing an athletic look.

It’s a fine design overall, but as is often the case, the end result may not look just as awesome as the renderings. Technical details of the 2017 Kia Cadenza are yet to be revealed, but it will most likely get an upgraded version of the previous model’s 300 horsepower V6 engine. Since 2.0 liter turbocharged engines are currently trendy for big cars, chances are Kia will also offer a four-pot version of the Cadenza with the same powertrain they use in the Optima Turbo.
