DS Automobile and Autowerke GmbH has come up with yet another fine Hamann product, this time based on one of the best SUVs in BMW’s lineup. The Hamann BMW X5 M50d DS has put together strikes the right balance between power, style, performance and economy.
Belonging to the “super diesel” M50 family, the base for this project a powerful X5 that offers monstrous amounts of torque as standard. Even so, DS has gone ahead and upgraded the engine’s software, so their Hamann BMW X5 M50d would have more oomph to play with – 462 PS and 890Nm to be precise.
As for the styling, a host of Hamann goodies are installed on this X5 M50d, and although they look somewhat subtle and understated, they do their part to give the big SUV a sportier look. The car gets front spoiler, side skirts and vents, fender flares, rear diffuser and rear wing, plus black-out tailpipes. But the main highlight of the exterior is a set of Hamann Anniversary Evo rims in size11 x 23 inch 315 section tires all around.
Those black tailpipes on Hamann BMW X5 M50d are connected to a sport exhaust system with Active Sound system. So not only does this super SUV offer a good deal of power, it also sounds sporty to match the performance.
