OK, this is just a rumor for the time being, but the social media is abuzz with news of Chris Harris joining the cast of the new Chris Evans-led Top Gear. Reports also mention German racing driver Sabine Schmitz and David Coulthard as the other co-presenters.
Chris Harris, undoubtedly one of the world’s top motoring journalists, is known for his technically brilliant and hugely amusing car reviews. He is also an accomplished track driver and an ace drifter. Lately he has been posting less and less videos on his YouTube channel, adding fuel to the fire of the aforementioned rumors. Although at this point they are more than just rumors as even Tiff Needell has taken to Twitter to vent his frustration that Harris is joining Top Gear and not Fifth Gear on which he even once made a guest appearance.
As for the other two possible new Top Gear presenters, the world is Evans is bringing in Sabine Schmitz whom you may remember as the Nurburgring Queen, the girl who beat Jeremy Clarkson around the Green Hell in a diesel Jaguar, drove a van around the same track faster than Porsches and Bimmers, and then took on the trio in an English versus German motoring program duel. The other is just David Coulthard.
