Mcchip-DKR is best known as a chip tuner with an affinity for small, turbocharged engines. But this year they have established themselves as an authority in big power tuning, thanks to projects like this, the Mcchip Mercedes GLE 63 S AMG which is upgraded to a massive 780 horsepower.
Starting with the standard GLE Coupe 63 S AMG with 585 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, the boys at Mcchip have worked their magic on this car and turned it into one of the most powerful utility vehicles anywhere in the world right now. Performance figures have not been announced, but an extra 200 horsepower will have no doubt have a profound effect on the way the car handles itself.
Mcchip Mercedes GLE 63 is treated to a Stage 4 “mc800” upgrade program which includes revised and improved turbochargers, bespoke exhaust system with sport cats and downpipes, and of course, Mcchip’s bread and butter which is a tailored software to make it possible for the engine to make the most of those new components. The result is a mind-boggling 780 horsepower and 1,050 Nm of torque.
Unlike most other Mcchip treatments which take only a few hours to install, the tuner needs six days for this one as the engine needs to be extracted from the vehicle for turbo and exhaust upgrades.
