Here’s a taste of what the new Ferrari 488 GTB looks like with a set of aftermarket wheels. Granted, they are a set of very high-end Forgiato wheels. But still. These photos should give you an idea how you can improve the looks of the Italian super car without messing around too much.
This red Ferrari 488 GTB is sitting on a set of Forgiato F2 rims from the original series, finished in matte black. As usual, Forgiato has gone for the largest possible size that fits in those fenders, which is great for styling. But with high-performance cars like the 488 there is always the worry that oversized wheels may compromise the car’s handling and turn of speed.
Speaking of performance, Ferrari 488 GTB is powered by a brand-new turbocharged 3.9 liter V8 engine developing 670 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque. It allows the 1370 kg super car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds and to 200 km/h in 8.3 seconds, on to a top speed of 330 km/h. The engine averages 11.4 l/100 km corresponding to CO2 emissions of 260 g/km.
Among the main technical highlights of the GTB there are Side Slip Control 2 – SSC2, F1-Trac and E-Diff, and Variable Torque Management.
