In one of their latest upgrade kits for a Mercedes-Benz model, German tuner Posaidon has come up with a power package for the latest version of the Mercedes C63 AMG. The Posaidon Mercedes-AMG C63 kit can be fitted to normal and S models, as well as sedan and wagon (T-model) variants.
Now, before we tell you about the kind of performance you can expect from the Posaidon Mercedes-AMG C63, let us remind you of what you get with a standard C63 in the first place. The car is powered by a 4.0 liter bi-turbo V8 engine that develops 476 horsepower in normal and 510 horsepower in the S guise. So it is by no means a slouch.
With the Posaidon Mercedes-AMG C63, though, you get nearly forty percent more oomph to play with, and that is always a welcome change. Thanks to a series of upgrades including new turbochargers, intercoolers, air intake and exhaust systems – all developed in-house by Posaidon – the output of the engine is boosted to 700 horsepower and 890 Nm of torque which are really super car figures.
Posaidon has left the exterior and interior intact for now, but who cares, since it now takes the C63 only 3.4 seconds to hit 100 km/h from zero. What’s more, since the top speed limited is deleted as part of the software upgrade, the car can reach 343 km/h!
