It’s been a while since Brabus last released a new tricked-out G-Wagen, but now they have come up with a version of the German SUV that is refreshingly restrained. This cool blacked-out Brabus Mercedes G500 is for those who don’t need the excessive power of the tuner’s G63 and G65 models.
That doesn’t mean this bad boy is a slouch. Far from it. Brabus Mercedes G500 features a power package for its V8 engine and a nice and well-designed styling package that walks the right line between giving the vehicle an eye-catching appearance and maintaining its effortless cool attitude.
The power kit for this Brabus G500 increases the power output of the engine to 368 kW / 500 HP (493 bhp) and 710 Nm (523 lb-ft) of torque. In other words, you get pretty much the same oomph you get from a standard G63 AMG, only this one is a bit more efficient. The fuel economy ratings are urban 20 l/100km, extra-urban 11,9 l/100km, and combined 14,9 l/100km, corresponding to CO2 Emissions of 348 g/km.
As for the visual treatment, this G500 gets a Brabus kit including sport bumpers with wide air intakes, innovative lighting system, Brabus grille, 23-inch monoblock wheels in black, and tinted windows. Inside, there is Brabus fine leather and the usual dose of carbon fiber trimming.
