As far as factory jobs works go, this Continental Orange Porsche 918 is definitely one of the most exclusive and exquisite examples we’ve ever seen. Complete with the Weissach Package, this 918 is a personal car of Bruce Canepa, the owner of the famous Dark Green McLaren P1 GTR.
According to Canepa, this Continental Orange Porsche 918 is the only car in this color and specs from the factory, although we suspect now that everyone has seen how great it looks some people are going to have theirs painted or wrapped in this unique shade of orange. As mentioned, the car comes with Weissach Package which includes more pronounced aero parts and those matte black wheels, both of which contribute greatly to the superb looks of the vehicle.
The Weissach kit also means Canepa’s Continental Orange Porsche 918 is lighter than regular models thanks to lightweight magnesium wheels, extensive use of carbon fiber, less soundproofing, and seats that are covered with fireproof material instead of leather. The power output remains the same — 887 horsepower, 608 of which comes from a 4.6 liter normally aspirated V8 lifted straight out of the RS Le Mans racer, and the rest provided by a couple of beefy electric motors.
