Having a sort of untimely TBT moment, MEC Design released a full gallery of their Mercedes SLS AMG in its heyday, starring in shoots in America with hot models and fancy lenses. So you can consider this as a tribute to MEC Design Mercedes SLS, one of the coolest tuned versions of the German super car.

The SLS is, of course, out of production and the chances of Daimler ever green lighting a car like it – a massive muscle car of a thing with a huge naturally aspirated V8 engine – in the current climates is zero. So MEC Design Mercedes SLS is the last of a breed of cars built only for fun with no regard for efficiency and economy. We kinda miss that. 

As for MEC Design Mercedes SLS itself, the car boasts a thorough and fairly massive body kit consisting of revised bumpers with spoiler lip up front and a diffuser insert out back as well as custom skirts, air vents, LED lights and the like. Unless what you want is a wide body kit, this SLS kit is still one of the best out there. MEC also supplies wheels and suspension kits as well as sport exhaust system.

This MEC SLS is a Roadster, but the kit can also be fitted to the hardtop with its iconic Gullwing doors.
