Compared to its predecessor, the 560-hp 458 Italia, Ferrari 488 GTB packs a much grander 670 horsepower punch. But that is still not enough for some people, which is why the engineers at Mcchip-DKR tuning center have come up with an upgrade kit for it.

What Mcchip boys have is develop a new ECU map for the 4.0 liter bi-turbo V8 engine in the Ferrari 488 GTB which changes a few parameters regarding the way it mixes air and fuel as well ignition timing and the like, and the result is a sizable gain – considering it is only electronic change we’re talking about.

Whereas the standard GTB has 670 hp and 760 Nm of torque to play with, Mcchip Ferrari 488 GTB boasts 722 horsepower with 851 Nm. The tuner has not measured how the extra oomph affects the performance of the car in terms of seconds and km/h, but rest assured a gain of over 50 hp is going to make this Fezza significantly quicker and more responsive as well.

We also like how they have left the appearance of the 488 GTB untouched in this program. Whoever’s ordered this car is more interested in performance and speed than showing off, unlike most of the regular Ferrari buyers who just want to turn necks with their cars.
