You have to have a lot of confidence in your local tuner to send your brand-new BMW X5M to them for a couple of upgrades before you even use it. That’s the story of this car upgraded by Baan Velgen. The owner wanted new wheels and a sick exhaust system, and BV has excelled at covering both.

The exhaust noise upgrade is taken care of using an Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system made from titanium and featuring advanced valve control system. We could bore you with the technical details of this system and how much weight it saves etc., or we could just show you a demo of it in action:

Styling-wise, the main change for Baan Velgen BMW X5M is a set of 21 inch HRE P103 wheels finished in Satin Black. We are big fans of HRE rims, but to be honest with you we think the X5M’s stock M wheels suit this car better. And in any case, these aren’t the HREs we would have gone for. But the owner likes them, and that’s all that matters.

Other little touches Baan Velgen has applied to the car include tinting the windows of the car, darkening the taillights and rear reflectors and blacking out the chrome of the side vents.
