If you recall a few weeks ago we told you about a very special vehicle hitting the Auction block in America. The vehicle in question was Tupac Shakur’s personalized Hummer H1 and it was estimated at around $100K. Turns out the auctioneers had underestimated the value of the car, as the hammer dropped on it at $337,144.
That is more than three times the original estimate and goes to show how important the celebrity ownership factor with these things. Of course, the celebrity endorsement this Hummer H1 enjoyed was probably the best kind, given the person of Tupac and the fact that he bought this car only a month before he was murdered in Las Vegas. That made the H1 more special, kind of like how David Bowie’s Blackstar became the massive hit that it became after the artist’s death.
Besides the prestige of owning of Tupac’s Hummer H1, the buyer also received some pretty cool items with the car including original promo recordings of “All Eyez on Me” by Pac and “Thriller” by Michael Jackson.
