To truly understand how special this RENNtech Mercedes SLS Roadster Final Edition is you need to start from the top and get to the bottom of it studying each level individually. So let’s do that, beginning with the RENNtech part and the wonderful they’ve done upgrading this beast.
The meat of RENNtech Mercedes SLS Roadster upgrade package, whether it’s the Final edition or even a coupe for that matter, is a power kit consisting of ECU upgrade and stainless steel long tube headers. That means the car not only sounds dirtier than the standard – itself a pretty filthy thing when it comes to exhaust noise – it also now generates 603 horsepower and 510 kb-ft of torque.
The tuner has also fitted this car with a carbon fiber rear diffuser and side rocker panels, and a set of gunmetal Super Light wheels measuring 19” front and 20” rear.
But the upgrades are only part of what makes this RENNtech Mercedes SLS Roadster great. As mentioned, the car is a Final Edition, which means it was one of the very last examples of the SLS super car with its weapons-grade 6.2 liter naturally aspirated V8. They only made 350 units in this spec with a soft top. But regardless of the fact this car is tuned and limited, it’s an SLS, one of the maddest and most exciting cars Mercedes-Benz ever produced.
