Black Ferrari Enzo (1 of 4) Set for Auction

Black Ferrari Enzo 0 600x338 at Black Ferrari Enzo (1 of 4) Set for Auction

One of the only four black Ferrari Enzo F60s has become available for sale. The hyper car is set to go under the hammer next month at Mecum Auction’s Monterey 2016 event which, to all intents and purposes, is shaping up to be the greatest car auction of all time.

Estimated at between $2,500,000 to $3,500,000, this black Ferrari Enzo is for those who think a red one or a yellow one is too mainstream and doesn’t make them stand out in a crowd. Owning a black one, however, puts them in the same league as the likes of Jay Kay, which is really cool.

That said, whoever buys this car probably isn’t going to drive it very often. For one thing, Enzos are notoriously impractical and have massive blind spots which makes them a nuisance to drive around town. What’s more, this particular one is virtually brand-new, but it’s already been to the factory once to get a new clutch. The Enzo, after all, is a first-gen hyper car and those things weren’t really built to last.

Powered by a 660 horsepower V12 engine which feeds the rear wheels via a 6-speed paddle-shift manual transmission, the black Ferrari Enzo here can sprint from 0 to 60 mph, when it’s completely healthy, in 3.3 seconds and run the quarter-mile in 11-seconds at 133 mph. It’ll probably need another clutch after that, but it can do it.
