While Mercedes-Benz has moved on to a new, much better looking SL-Class, Japanese tuner VITT Squalo is persistent with the wide body kit they have designed for the R231 version, probably because they have put too much effort into it. Now the VITT Mercedes SL63 AMG, which we have seen in red and white, shows up in a cool dark grey which could be the very best color for it.

If have checked out the previous VITT Mercedes SL63 AMG models we featured here you are fairly familiar with the details of this thorough and elaborate styling package. This kit is one of the widest you can get for the SL, but unlike most exaggerated wide body kits it is not ridiculous, or even that in-your-face. In fact, VITT’s kit works wonders for the SL and blends in the car’s not-so-nice lines with its own unique features so that the end result is actually a rather handsome car.

VITT Mercedes SL63 AMG package consists of a pair of custom bumpers on the front and rear with the usual aero paraphernalia such as splitter, diffuser, and skirts. It also has some cool LED lights on the intake arms, extended wheel arches and sills with side vents, and a boot lid spoiler plus a set of quad tailpipes flanked on either side by extra air ducts. This bad boy also benefits from VITT’s custom muffler and GRADO wheels measuring 20” front and 21” rear.
