Once again the collaboration between Hyperforged Wheels and Auto Plaza Dank has resulted in the creation of one of Japan’s classiest cars. This time they have worked on a Mercedes SL65 AMG – the new post-facelift model – and they have equipped it with a set of HF-LC5 rims which look mighty good.

The new SL with its “corrected” nose and tail is a lot better looking than the model it replaced, but still not what you call an absolute beauty. Still, Hyperforged has helped this Mercedes SL65 AMG a lot by supplying it with a set of their HF-LC5 rims in Brushed Anodized Light Bronze with matte lips. They measure 9.5J×20 DeepConcave on the front and 11.0J×21 DeepConcave on the rear axle, wrapped with ContiSportContact6 tires of size 255/30/20 and 295/25/21 respectively.

The 2017 Mercedes SL65 AMG is powered by a 6.0-litre V12 biturbo engine rated at 463 kW (630 hp) and delivering 1000 Newton metres of peak torque. It goes from 0 to 100 in 4.0 seconds and while the top speed is normally limited to 250 km/h, you can have the limited raised to 300 km/h by ordering the AMG Driver’s package. The car comes with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC gearbox and Active Body Control (ABC), mechanical rear-axle differential lock, and various driving modes as standard.
