If you always fancy a high-performance estate car but cannot afford something like an RS6 Avant or a C63 AMG Estate, help is at hand from German tuner DF Automotive. What they have done is chip a SEAT Leon ST FR to the performance level of Golf GTI, so you can have some wagon fun on a budget.
Granted, with 210 PS and 310 ft.-lbs. of torque coming out of its chipped 1.8 liter TFSI engine DF Automotive’s SEAT Leon ST FR is hardly a speed machine. But since this car is cheap and the performance upgrade is cheap you can treat it with the utmost brutality and disregard for the vehicle’s well-being. You can beat on it mercilessly, something you would never have done with a pricey RS6. So in a way this eco thing is a lot more fun.
Besides the performance upgrade DF’s SEAT Leon ST FR is also equipped with a set of OZ Superturismo wheels measuring 8,5 x 20 inch in diameter wrapped with Syron Race 1 Plus in 235/30 R20 performance tires. They are backed up by a set of Variant 1 KW coil-over suspension system and together the wheels and the suspension give the mid-size estate a very cool and sporty stance that works really well with the angular design and chiseled features.
