The same guys who brought you the 2015 XC90 Polestar have now had a crack at turning the new Swedish SUV into a pickup truck. This is what they’ve come up with and it looks like a lot of fun. But the only place a pickup XC90 can exist is in a parallel universe.

There really isn’t a scenario where we can imagine Volvo’s top brass would green light this car. Consider this one is just a free-spirited speculation and just enjoy looking at it. The whole thing kind of reminds us of VW Amarok.

2015 Volvo XC90 is a family SUV and a good one at that. The previous generation was considered by all the experts the best family all-rounder in the world, and they must have been right, as the car stayed in production for nearly 12 years without any significant change.

So the new model has some big shoes to fill. And it seems well-prepared for the task ahead, what with a gorgeous design, an spacious cabin, advance comfort and convenience features, and a host of efficient engines, details of which are yet to be revealed.
