Mugen, Honda’s in-house tuner, revealed its upgrade package for the new CR-V crossover at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon in form of a concept car. The extremely Japanese kit looks fairly subtle, but the modifications are actually pretty thorough.

Mugen’s styling kit modifies the front fascia and adds a new chin spoiler and fog lights, as well as headlight bezels and a sport grille. There is also black fender flares and side skirts, plus rear apron, roof spoiler and new tailpipes at the back.

The car rides on 20-inch wheels and benefit from sport-tuned suspension, sport exhaust system, and upgraded brakes. All this hints at a power package for the engine, but Mugen is yet to release the details on that front.

An interior package with carbon trimming and leather seats are also included. No word yet on any plans for production.
